Hiatus from Pictures

I have not gotten into the stride of posting picture from Star Trek Online the way I have for EVE Online.

It isn’t about play time.  I play STO far more than I do EVE.

I am just not happy with the pictures I get in STO, and that is mostly because I hate that the shields show up in combat pictures.  It just breaks the emotion of the picture for me.

Thus I am stuck with the travel pictures, which are nice, but which are rarely exciting.  Not that every picture has to be exciting, but I want some excitement or tension in the mix.

So until I figure out how to get there, I am going to stop worrying about trying to capture that to present here.

Headstart Begins Today – Full Launch Tuesday

The Star Trek Online head start for pre-orders should already be underway as of this post.

(The server shows as “down for maintenance” though, so it looks like they missed that time slot.)

Those who did not pre-order (and Cryptic really wants you to know that it is not too late to pre-order) can get a copy of the game and start playing on Tuesday.

During the inevitable down times that will no doubt occur over the first week (see Syp’s Launch Day Traditions) you can spend some time looking through 10 Resources for New Star Trek Captains, reading up on what Cryptic has planned for near-term content updates, indulging in a little in-game situational humor, or coming up with amusing captions to win a Del Taco Star Online promotional code.
